WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO "FAIL" A TEST?
Pursuant to the conclusion of data collection and analysis, when a polygraph examiner concludes that deception is indicated to one or more of the examinee’s answers, the subject is said to have failed the polygraph. Deception is indicated when the examinee's autonomic nervous system demonstrates a significant and repetitive “fight, flight, or freeze” reaction at one or more relevant questions.
