POST CONVICTION SEX OFFENDER TESTING (PCSOT)
Many states have developed programs for the treatment and monitoring of sex offenders during their parole or probation periods, including Utah. Most of these treatment programs now require the administration of initial and periodic polygraph exams for purposes of verifying treatment compliance, parole violations, and recidivism. Standards for Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT) have been established by the American Polygraph Association (APA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), which requires the examiner to successfully complete additional polygraph training and certification in order to perform these types of specialized tests. Ongoing annual specialized training is also required.
Mike has extensive experience in testing sexual offenders, and is certified to conduct PCSOT polygraph examinations in the State of Utah, having graduated from an American Polygraph Association approved PCSOT course. Strict confidentiality is always maintained ensuring complete privacy. These reports can be forwarded to either the attending therapist or managing case officer.

TYPES OF EXAMS USED IN PCSOT
Instant Offense – Determines whether the original crime was actually committed by the subject.
Sexual History Disclosure - Verifies whether pertinent information about past sexual activity has been withheld.
Monitoring Testing – Determines the existence of new sexual offenses.
Maintenance Testing – Identifies any issue related to parole, probation, or therapy which may be of interest to the psychologist or parole/probation officer. Such issues include contact with children in violation of parole/probation guidelines, use of pornography, contact with a previous victim(s), or grooming of new potential victims.
