DO MEDICAL CONDITIONS AFFECT A POLYGRAPH TEST?
A person who submits to a polygraph examination is not injured in any way during the course of that examination. However, they may experience a small amount of discomfort when the cardiovascular cuff, which is identical to a blood pressure cuff used in medical offices, is placed on either the bicep or the forearm and is inflated for a few minutes at a time. Increased levels of stress are not uncommon during a polygraph examination, and there are some medical conditions which are sensitive to increases in stress such as some heart conditions. Veracity Polygraph will require written approval from the physician overseeing the treatment of such medical conditions before administering a polygraph examination to someone with such a condition.
